Most people know Silicone Exhaust Mounts last much longer than the rubber mounts which Lotus originall used.
However, Lotus kept increasing the price of the Silicone Exhaust Mounts which made us think there must be a possibility to keep these a little more affordable.
Apart from that, we’ve looked at two other things.
First of all, the inserts used on the original parts are plated mild steel. We have chosen to use Stainless Steel Inserts.. They won’t corrode!
Also, we found the original Silicone Mounts slightly too stiff as it made the car rather sensitive for droning. As a solution, we’ve decided to produce them a little softer so there’s less chance of exhaust drone.
Apart from that.. they’re red, so they make your car go faster.. ahem..
