It takes a while, but at a certain stage you will find the exhaust on your car having too much movement. The main reason for this is the weight of the exhaust system and the heat it is generating. As these mounts are silicone, the heat problem is solved by installing these mounts. Silicone has another advantage.. it can take more abuse then the rubber items..
