The area between the roof and the rear clamshell of the Evora is not entirely water proof.
To stop water from coming in, Lotus has produced a deflector film which connects both parts and make sure water will stay out.
This is all fine, until you need to remove the rear clamshell from a car which had it’s roof painted black after leaving the factory.
When you remove the deflector, a 1cm wide line of the original paint colour will appear, exactly where the roof vent and the roof come together.
Using a transparent deflector as Lotus did will result in a visible line when the car is assembled again.
The solution is simple.. use this black film deflector, stick it at exactly the same position and nobody will be able to see the line of original paint any longer!
